"Wild" Coconut Wax Candle
Wildwood trail is one that I frequent. One of my favorite places in Portland is Forest Park, one of the largest urban parks in the United States. When we moved from the southwest to northwest quadrant, we went from hiking on this trail yearly to practically weekly.
I tried to emulate the colors and scents of the trail. There's pine, and fir, then spice and raw foliage and earth and somehow some kind of berry... it is a perfect fall scent but honestly I'm the type that wants to smell like, oh, I dunno... I just rolled over in my fairy cottage and flew away on an adventure. Feelin' cute, might even wear shoes...
This is our own unique blend of vegan, paraffin free coconut waxes. We use clean scents that do not contain parabens, phthalates, or formaldehye. The dyes you see are eco-dyes from renewable resources and the wooden wicks are FSC certified (sustainably sourced). The micas are ethically sourced and all of the tops are hand marbled with wax embeds that will melt into your candle.
We have gotten well over 40 hours of burn time in this 12 ounce candle (don't burn for more than four hours at a time).
Candle Care
Candles preform their best when we play by their rules! Here's our recommendations:
-Always burn in sight, and away from anything that could knock it over: kids or pets, for example.
-Burn away from draft prone areas like around fans or windows
-Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time, but do burn it until the melted wax reaches the sides. If you burn the candle for too short a time it could "tunnel" and the wax will build up on the sides.
-Always trim your wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting. If your wick is too high it can start too soot, and burn too hot.
-Stop burning your candle when you're down to the last 1/4 inch of wax in the bottom of the container. You can use the remaining wax in a melter. On our instagram page, we have resources for how to clean your vessels!
